Description
This is a Medical Assistant training program at Highmark Health for individuals with little to no clinical experience and no formal Medical Assistant training. Trainees will receive hands-on training twice a week at a nursing school or facility, then work three days a week in a physician's office to apply learned skills. Upon completion, trainees must pass a certification exam. The role involves assisting in patient care, preparing examination rooms, obtaining vital signs, documenting in electronic health records, and supporting physicians.
