Description
The Medical Assistant provides direct and indirect patient care under clinician supervision, including rooming patients, collecting subjective and objective data, screening, diagnostic testing, medication administration, wound care, specimen collection, minor procedural assistance, and patient education. The role also supports practice management through scheduling, prescription processing, follow-up coordination, electronic medical record documentation, and population health outreach, while maintaining clinical knowledge, completing competency assessments, and contributing to team workflow.
