Description
The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care in a clinic under the supervision of providers or nurses, including triage, vital-sign measurement, charting, patient interviews, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and communication of lab and diagnostic results. The role also supports providers with translation, maintains infection-control and clinic-supply standards, and follows HIPAA, OSHA, and San José Clinic policies. Candidates must hold a medical assisting certificate or diploma, current CPR training, at least six months of family-practice or community-health experience, and English-Spanish communication ability.
