Description
The Medical Assistant provides safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient care in a clinical setting, including vital signs, specimen collection, patient preparation, medication and vaccine administration under supervision, diagnostic testing, health information gathering, EHR documentation, patient education, and daily patient-flow management. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of Medical Assistant experience or completion of a Medical Assistant program, Basic Life Support upon hire, and medical terminology training; an Associate or diploma program in Medical Assistant is preferred.
