Description
The Medical Assistant (MA) Float provides routine clinical and administrative support while floating between clinics in Galax, Virginia. Working under a physician or nurse, the role performs patient assessments and treatments, basic diagnostic procedures, specimen collection, patient monitoring, care documentation, equipment and supply maintenance, examination-area upkeep, and clerical tasks such as reception, scheduling, data entry, filing, and registration. The position is full-time, in-person, and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent, BLS within 60 days of hire, and CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification.
