Description
The Medical Assistant provides safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient care in a clinical setting, including vital-sign collection, specimen handling, patient preparation, record maintenance, medication and vaccine administration under supervision, diagnostic testing, and patient education. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assistant program, one year of Medical Assistant experience, Basic Life Support upon hire, and medical terminology training; an associate degree or diploma in Medical Assisting is preferred.
