Description
The Medical Assistant provides ambulatory medical care by managing clinic patient flow, assisting patients and physicians, obtaining vital signs, maintaining electronic medical records, performing diagnostic and screening procedures, explaining test procedures, calculating medication dosages, and administering medications. The role requires a high school diploma, graduation from a Medical Assistant school, Medical Assistant certification and registration, and current basic CPR/AED certification, along with the ability to work in a clinical setting and perform physical tasks involving lifting, bending, and reaching.
