Description
The Radiology Medical Coder reviews medical records and assigns ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, and other radiological services. The role also abstracts billing data, submits claims, follows up on denials, audits coding accuracy, manages EMR systems, and collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals. Candidates need a high school diploma, at least three years of medical coding experience, prior medical office experience, EMR familiarity, and Microsoft Office 365 proficiency. The position offers a Monday–Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule with starting pay of $22.00 to $25.00 per hour.
