Description
The Medical Coder will assign procedure and diagnosis codes for insurance billing, review claims data, research denied claims, and correspond with insurance companies and healthcare professionals to secure accurate reimbursement. The role requires adherence to CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD-11 coding guidelines, use of medical coding software, strong knowledge of medical terminology and reimbursement rules, and at least one year of coding experience, preferably in psychiatric services.
