Description
R1 is hiring an experienced Medical Coder or Senior Medical Coder to review inpatient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, PCS, PDx, SDx, POA, DRG, APG, and APR codes. The role requires 1–7+ years of inpatient DRG coding experience, an active CCS or CIC certification, knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy, and the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Familiarity with coding software such as 3M, Optum, CAC, abstracting software, or Meditech is an advantage.
