Description
The Physician, Inmate Care provides diagnosis and treatment for inmates, emergency care for staff and visitors, medical records management, specialty referrals, after-hours and weekend coverage, and oversight of healthcare personnel. The role also handles utilization management, pharmacy compliance, health education, reports, and inmate medical record confidentiality. It requires a medical or osteopathic degree, a Florida medical license, current DEA, ACLS, and CPR certifications, and a valid driver’s license; correctional experience is preferred. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with a stated salary of $275,000 and potential $25,000 relocation assistance.
