Description
The laboratory is currently short two night-shift Medical Laboratory Scientist positions and two evening-shift positions. The role involves determining specimen acceptability, performing routine and complex laboratory testing, operating and troubleshooting instrumentation, preparing and evaluating reagents and controls, reporting test results, conducting preventive maintenance and quality control, replenishing supplies, and assisting with specimen processing. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or compliance with local CLIA and state requirements, 8–10 years of clinical laboratory testing experience, a state medical technologist license where applicable, and ASCP or AMT certification where applicable. The role also requires computer proficiency, attention to detail, communication and organizational skills, the ability to pass a color vision screen, and flexibility to work overtime or other shifts.
