Moffatt & Nichol is hiring a Medior Backend Software Engineer for its NextPort.AI technology spin-off, reporting to the Application Tech Lead. The role develops and maintains cloud-based port and terminal applications using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, Kafka, MongoDB, Redis, Docker, and Git. Responsibilities span the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance, debugging, code reviews, documentation, and collaboration with product and UX teams. The position requires at least three years of Java software development experience and is based in Valencia or Algeciras.
