Washoe County is hiring a full-time Medium Equipment Operator in Gerlach, Nevada, to perform journey-level work operating medium equipment used in the construction and maintenance of county roads and facilities. The role requires a valid Class A Nevada Commercial Driver’s License with a tanker endorsement, two years of road maintenance or road construction experience, or one year of medium-equipment operation experience, plus mechanical aptitude, record-keeping, safety, and teamwork skills. The position is covered by the WCEA Non-Supervisory contract, includes county-paid health, retirement, and vacation benefits, and does not provide housing.
