The role involves splicing and terminating shielded medium-voltage power cables from 5 kV to 35 kV, executing cable work on projects, maintaining safety and quality standards, documenting completed work, and using specialized cable-handling tools. Compensation is $30–$60+ per hour depending on experience, and the position requires a high school diploma or GED, relevant cable-splicing experience, and preferably NCSCB certification and confined-space training.
