Abundant is hiring a research engineer to own a research agenda that bridges foundational AI research and production systems. The role involves designing agentic tasks and verifiers, diagnosing model failures, shaping data and reward signals, running live training runs, and collaborating with researchers and engineering teams on pipelines, tooling, and deep learning implementations. Candidates should have strong software engineering and Python skills, experience with evaluations, RL environments, agent systems, and production research, along with a founder mentality and extreme ownership.
