Description
North Point Technology is hiring an MES Developer to support a ground-up manufacturing automation implementation for a major automotive manufacturer in Warren, Michigan. The role focuses on designing, programming, integrating, and commissioning controls and manufacturing systems, with emphasis on Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/GuardLogix PLCs, Ignition HMI/SCADA, and PLC-to-MES integration. Responsibilities include developing PLC and Ignition applications, implementing manufacturing transactions and traceability, integrating barcode and RFID systems, configuring Zebra label printers, and supporting startup, debugging, FAT/SAT, and production launch. The position requires hands-on experience with PLC programming, Ignition, manufacturing systems, commissioning, and automotive or high-volume discrete manufacturing environments.
