Description
The Shop Manager owns the day-to-day direction of one half of a machine shop, managing two production cells and their employees. The role sets daily production plans, coordinates priorities with the other Shop Manager and Plant leadership, holds disciplinary authority, shares hiring authority, escalates staffing and equipment issues, and maintains a safe and productive shop floor. The position requires prior supervisory or management experience in metal fabrication, machine shops, or manufacturing, knowledge of welding, laser/Vipros, brake press, and punch press processes, and the ability to manage production, personnel, and scheduling under deadline pressure.
