Description
The Metallurgical Laboratory Technician prepares metal and alloy samples, conducts metallographic and mechanical testing, operates laboratory instruments, supports failure analysis, records and analyzes test data, and maintains laboratory procedures and equipment. The role requires a high school diploma, 1–3 years of metallurgical or materials testing laboratory experience, familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing methods, and strong analytical and organizational skills. An associate’s degree or technical diploma in metallurgy, materials science, or a related field is preferred, along with experience in SEM, EDS, or XRF analysis.
