Description
The Meter Technician installs, tests, repairs, and replaces water meters and related service lines; programs AMR and AMI devices; troubleshoots meter and equipment failures; operates an assigned truck; maintains work zones; and responds to scheduled and emergency water-system calls. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, six months of general work experience using hand or power tools, and a valid North Carolina driver's license; meter-technician, meter-reader, or plumber experience is preferred.
