Description
The Metrology Manager leads the Austin facility’s instrument calibration and maintenance program, supervising calibration staff and ensuring instruments, records, procedures, and preventive maintenance activities meet specifications and regulatory requirements. The role oversees calibration scheduling, documentation, investigations, corrective and preventive actions, audits, troubleshooting, repairs, instrumentation selection and configuration, departmental metrics, and continuous improvement. It requires an engineering bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional metrology experience, at least eight years of relevant leadership experience including work in a current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) environment, and strong communication, problem-solving, organization, time-management, and leadership skills. The position is primarily office-based but includes routine follow-up on an industrial manufacturing floor and in clean rooms, with less than 5% travel.
