Description
The Foundry Tooling Engineer designs and develops molds, patterns, cores, and fixtures for cast metal parts; optimizes tooling for manufacturing efficiency; simulates casting processes; troubleshoots tooling defects; and leads pattern-shop engineering for gating, risering, maintenance, and tooling life cycles. The role supports foundry modernization, capacity planning, trial-pour campaigns, and scrap-reduction initiatives, and requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing experience, root-cause-analysis knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to work on the shop floor.
