HydRegen is recruiting a Genetic Scientist – Microbial Strain Engineering for its Oxford biology R&D team. The role develops and improves plasmid and microbial strain libraries to enhance enzyme expression, stability, titre, activity, yield, productivity and robustness for biocatalytic hydrogenation technologies. It involves multi-gene bacterial expression, gene editing, cloning, construct design, strain characterisation, fermentation and analytical data analysis, and preparation of laboratory documentation. The position requires hands-on industrial experience in non-GMP microbial genetics and enzyme production, a relevant degree, and experience with genome-engineering approaches and bioinformatics.
