IHRC Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Microbiologist to support clients at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)/Coronavirus and Other Respiratory Viruses Division (CORVD) in Atlanta, GA. The Microbiologist will provide laboratory diagnostic and molecular surveillance support, including performing molecular assays, designing and evaluating diagnostic platforms, participating in burden of disease studies, and contributing to laboratory safety and quality management. Additionally, the role involves immunological and virological support, such as serological surveillance, vaccine response assessment, cellular immunological assessment, and the development of monoclonal antibodies. The Microbiologist will also provide respiratory virus sequencing support, contribute to adapting molecular techniques to automated platforms, perform advanced molecular detection and sequencing assays, and participate in laboratory research to develop and apply advanced molecular techniques and high-throughput sequencing analysis. The position requires drafting SOPs, maintaining medical clearance, attending meetings, preparing for audits, writing abstracts, presenting work, and contributing to peer-reviewed manuscripts.
