Description

Green Light is hiring a mid-level, full-time Microsoft SQL Server Engineer to design, build, and optimize database infrastructure supporting Elixir-based healthcare applications. The role focuses on T-SQL stored procedures, ANSI 837 claims data processing, SQL Server Agent and SSIS automation, database security and compliance, troubleshooting, documentation, and scalable data systems. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, strong T-SQL and SQL optimization skills, ANSI 837 knowledge, Agile and GitLab experience, and familiarity with ETL and healthcare data environments.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Required Previous Experiences: Deep day-to-day experience writing and maintaining T-SQL stored procedures for application development teams
Practical experience parsing and processing HCFA and UB ANSI 837 claim formats
Experience working within an Agile team environment
Experience using GitLab for project management and source control
Hands-on experience developing and maintaining SSIS packages and SQL Server Agent jobs in a production healthcare data environment
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting Elixir or other functional language backend applications through SQL data layers
Familiarity with EDI transaction sets beyond 837, including 835 and 834
Prior experience in a healthcare technology, payer, or clearinghouse environment
Experience designing SSIS-based ETL pipelines for high-volume healthcare claims data
