IDS is hiring a Mid‑Level AI Engineer (Python) in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, to support AI and emerging technologies for government, military, nonprofit, and public-sector clients. The role involves designing LLM orchestration frameworks, integrating static analyzers, RAG systems, and automated testing pipelines, preparing documentation and code for LLM consumption, building database solutions for RAG architectures, deploying networked AI tools in secure enclaves, profiling and optimizing mission systems, and supporting security assessments and Authority to Operate activities. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree with five years of experience, or a master’s degree with three years, or a doctorate with no required experience, along with Python and AI/ML proficiency, LLM and RAG experience, and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
