Genki is hiring a Mid-Level Backend Developer to join its fully remote backend team and help build and evolve the core system powering its health insurance products and operations for long-term travelers. The role focuses on Kotlin backend development within a custom event-sourcing framework, improving testability and reliability, expanding architecture, and navigating a complex multi-domain product with incomplete documentation. The company values experience with larger production backend systems, event-driven architecture, clean code, and hands-on exposure to AI-agentic development tools.
