Sofka is hiring a Backend Software Engineer in Quito, Ecuador, on a contractor-type contract. The role is 70% backend and 30% frontend and focuses on designing secure, low-latency APIs, refactoring and resolving technical debt, implementing testing and CI/CD, monitoring, security, and compliance. Candidates need strong Java with Spring Boot or .NET Core, Angular experience, WebSphere Application Server and Enterprise Service Bus experience, database, Git, container, and automated testing expertise. Solutions architecture and high-transaction or banking experience are preferred.
