Description
HIVED is hiring a Backend Engineer to own backend systems and tooling for its parcel-delivery network, including last-metre navigation, routing, telemetry, and lost-parcel detection. The role takes features from discovery through deployment and monitoring, writes scalable and tested code, participates in code reviews, partners with Product, UX, and Operations, and joins the on-call rota. It requires a computer science or related STEM degree or equivalent practical experience, at least three years of backend software engineering experience with distributed systems, proficiency in a typed backend language, production-service experience on a major cloud platform, relational-database and Infrastructure-as-Code experience, and strong communication skills. The role is based in a hybrid environment at HIVED’s Shoreditch headquarters.
