Smart Working is hiring a permanent, full-time Data Engineer to establish and deliver a Romanian data platform using Databricks, dbt, and Looker. The role owns production pipelines, finance reporting, data integration, and automation, works independently with finance and asset management teams, mentors a graduate engineer, and requires on-site work in the Romania office with an initial month in London. The position is mid-level to senior and requires 3–5 years of commercial data or analytics engineering experience, along with advanced SQL, dbt, data modelling, ELT/ETL, Databricks, Looker, API integration, and stakeholder communication experience.
