Description
The role installs, tests, removes, repairs, and troubleshoots shipboard electrical cabling and electronic equipment, including cable installations, MCT/MCP and stuffing-tube work, bonding and grounding, modification kits, overhaul, and ship alterations. The position leads small electronics teams, interprets blueprints and drawings, uses electrical testing and hand tools, and requires work on ships, barges, and submarines. It requires three years of shipboard electronics installation and repair experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, U.S. citizenship, NSI 009-73 connector fabrication certification, and completion of specified safety and environmental training.
