Description
Sofka is hiring a full-time contractor Software Engineer in Quito, Ecuador, to work 70% on frontend and 30% on backend development. The role involves building scalable web and mobile applications with Angular or React Native, designing and integrating secure APIs, reducing technical debt, applying unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, deploying with cloud infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD, and implementing PCI-DSS and GDPR-aligned security controls. The position requires strong Angular or React Native skills, complementary Java knowledge, database and API experience, Git proficiency, container and CI/CD experience, and testing and security fundamentals; prior experience in financial applications, payment gateways, or highly regulated sectors is advantageous.
