Spirit AeroSystems is hiring an on-site Manufacturing Engineer in Wichita, Kansas to coordinate manufacturing and tooling plans, implement advanced manufacturing technologies, develop assembly and tooling requirements, perform trade and cost studies, and support integrated product and process teams. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least five years of related engineering experience, manufacturing project management experience, and experience designing manufacturing processes and selecting tooling. Preferred qualifications include manufacturing or aerospace engineering, automation, continuous improvement, CAD, SAP, and knowledge of composite and metallic manufacturing. The position is union-represented and offers a mid-level salary range of $85,600 to $131,200.
