Description
The Reading Interventionist provides prescriptive small-group instruction to middle and high school students needing foundational reading support, uses research-based reading curricula, assesses and analyzes student progress, communicates results to families and staff, and participates in coaching, professional development, and professional learning communities. The role requires current Tennessee certification or the ability to become certified, 2–3 years of experience working with children or young adults, and experience in reading, special education, English learners, English language arts, or elementary self-contained teaching; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred for uncertified candidates.
