Description
The Tooling and Fixture Maker constructs, repairs, and fabricates tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, machine attachments, and mechanisms from blueprints, sketches, and prints. The role performs machining, assembly, heat treating, testing, documentation, material handling, and apprentice training, while collaborating with suppliers, engineering, production, and other plant personnel. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a U.S. Department of Labor-certified four-year apprenticeship, a powered industrial truck operator permit, and a Michigan driver’s license, along with physical ability to work in confined spaces and heavy lifting.
