Description
Thiess is hiring an experienced Mining Engineer for its Lake Vermont Project near Dysart, Central Queensland. Reporting to a Senior Mining Engineer, the role covers short-term design plans and schedules, mine planning for autonomous operations, reconciliation of operational data, verification and analysis of data, weekly dig/dump planning, compliance with safety and environmental systems, and reporting against KPIs and budgets. The position requires tertiary mining engineering qualifications, open-cut mining experience, mine design software experience, and strong interpersonal and stakeholder collaboration skills. It is an 8/6 roster with a site allowance, annual remuneration review, discretionary bonus, and other benefits.
