Description
The role provides technical expertise and operational support across mine geology, mine planning, and rock mechanics for safe and efficient underground mining. Responsibilities include face and scanline mapping, ore classification, mine planning, geotechnical inspections, ground-support design and evaluation, quality control testing, technical recordkeeping, and collaboration on safety, compliance, and engineering projects. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in geology, geological engineering, or mining engineering, 3–5 years of underground mining experience, MS Office proficiency, and familiarity with MSHA regulations; Deswik or Vulcan exposure is preferred.
