Description
The Project Engineer serves as the Project Manager's technical engine, working both in the project office and on the construction site. The role owns project documents, RFIs, submittals, drawings, field layout and grade control, measured quantities, quality verification, cost coding, procurement support, reporting, and the turnover package. The engineer coordinates survey and third-party testing, documents changed conditions, tracks earned value and potential changes, and maintains current as-builts. The position is typically assigned full-time to a project site, may require temporary relocation, and requires 0–6 years of experience, a relevant engineering or construction-management degree or equivalent technical background, and MSHA Part 46/48 and 5000-23 credentials.
