Toyota is hiring an ML Algorithm Engineer to develop and improve machine-learning algorithms that estimate driver workload using vehicle CAN signals, in-vehicle sensors, and driver-operation logs. The role covers data foundations, feature design, model training and evaluation, workload-indicator integration, interfaces for driving suggestions and prompts, and evaluation with simulators and actual vehicles. Candidates need at least three years of software or algorithm development experience, machine-learning or statistical-modeling experience, Python and major ML/DL framework experience, stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to travel.
