Kogan.com is hiring a Data Engineer to design, build, and operate machine learning and data pipelines that support marketing, purchasing, logistics, finance, and other business functions. The role covers production ML systems, MLOps, feature engineering, LLM and generative AI applications, model monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration, with a strong emphasis on Python, SQL, cloud platforms, software engineering practices, and reliability.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Commercial experience building machine learning applications and data pipelines with Python and machine learning libraries
Hands-on experience developing, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models in production
Experience building and maintaining MLOps pipelines for model deployment, monitoring, and retraining
Experience with SQL, large datasets, feature engineering, and distributed data processing
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform
Experience working with LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, RAG architectures, or AI agents
Experience with Git, CI/CD, testing frameworks, containerisation, and production system reliability
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with recommendation systems, search ranking models, or forecasting solutions
Exposure to ML platforms and tools such as Vertex AI, Databricks, SageMaker, or Kubeflow
Experience with event-driven architectures and streaming technologies such as Kafka or Pub/Sub
