Description
The Phlebotomist drives a personal vehicle to client facilities, typically nursing homes, and collects, labels, processes, and delivers patient specimens. The role requires accurate patient identification, venipuncture and skin-puncture techniques, laboratory knowledge, sterile practices, communication with a dispatcher, and adherence to universal precautions. Candidates must hold a current state phlebotomy license, a valid driver’s license, car insurance, a good driving record, and a suitable vehicle.
