Description
The Phlebotomist travels to client facilities, primarily nursing homes, to obtain blood specimens from patients. The role includes patient identification, specimen labeling and transport, scheduling draws, maintaining records, coordinating with dispatch and laboratory departments, and maintaining equipment. Required qualifications include current clinical licensure where required, medical terminology knowledge, phlebotomy and venipuncture proficiency, specimen-preservation knowledge, a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, access to a suitable vehicle, a good driving record, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
