Waypoint’s client is hiring a full-time, onsite Modeling & Simulation Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia to support a government aerospace project. The role develops and validates phenomenological models of EO/IR signatures, atmospheric radiative transfer, cloud clutter, terrain, and space environments; oversees mission-level ISR constellation simulations; conducts trade studies; and assesses resilience against radiation, RF interference, and other threats. The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph, a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or a related field, at least five years of modeling and simulation experience, strong Python skills, and familiarity with AFSIM or similar aerospace simulation tools.
