Shield AI is hiring an Australian-based Modelling and Simulation Lead to lead the simulation and test-environment capability for mission autonomy programs involving uncrewed aircraft. The role involves designing distributed real-time and faster-than-real-time simulation systems, developing C++ software, integrating defence simulation frameworks, deploying with Docker or Kubernetes, and leading multidisciplinary engineering teams. Candidates need a relevant tertiary qualification, extensive software engineering and systems integration experience, C++ and Python expertise, real-time or HWIL/SWIL simulation experience, containerization and Linux experience, and the ability to obtain an Australian NV1 security clearance.
