Description

Qualcomm is hiring a Modem Hardware Design Engineer to define modem specifications and architecture, develop RTL, and optimize wireless modem ASICs for area, power, and performance. The role collaborates with hardware, verification, modeling, physical implementation, system, RF, firmware, and software teams to deliver first-time-right silicon, while leveraging AI-driven methodologies, GenAI, ML-assisted flows, and agentic-AI automation. The position is open to candidates in San Diego, California; Santa Clara, California; and Boxborough, Massachusetts, with a pay range of $114,500 to $171,700.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: At least 1 year of programming, Verilog, System Verilog, computer architecture, or embedded systems experience
At least 1 year of wireless, semiconductor, or embedded software industry experience
At least 6 months of WWAN modem development experience
RTL coding and logic design for wireless modem ASICs
Experience with synthesis, industry LINT, clock domain crossing, low-power design, and verification
Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting, Python/Perl, Makefiles, and XML
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
