Description
The Elevator Technician assists with modernizing and repairing hydraulic and traction elevators by installing controllers, door equipment, pumping units, hoist machines, wiring, fixtures, ropes, and packings. The role also performs repairs, inspections, annual safety-device tests, equipment suitability assessments, and related duties in elevator shafts, pits, and other mechanical spaces. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an elevator technician degree or mechanic license is preferred. The position requires physical work in hazardous environments, including climbing, lifting heavy materials, working from ladders and scaffolding, and responding to emergencies on an on-call basis.
