Description
The Elevator Technician assists with modernizing and repairing hydraulic and traction elevators by installing controllers, door equipment, pumping units, hoist machines, wiring, fixtures, ropes, and other components. The role also performs repairs, inspections, annual safety-device tests, equipment suitability assessments, and related duties while working in elevator shafts, pits, and other mechanical spaces. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an elevator technician degree or mechanic license is preferred. The position requires physical work in confined and hazardous environments, including climbing, lifting heavy materials, and working from ladders and scaffolding, and includes on-call availability for emergencies.
