Apple is hiring a Mechanical Hardware Design Engineer in Cupertino, California, and other unanticipated locations throughout the United States. The role involves brainstorming haptic-related concepts, prototyping and validating designs, designing mechanical components and assemblies, generating specifications and drawings, performing static and dynamic analyses, conducting failure analysis and design of experiments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leading design reviews and documentation releases. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, CAD and ANSYS experience, prototyping, quality-control specification development, hardware-development troubleshooting, and laboratory measurement skills. It is a 40-hour-per-week role with a base pay range of $129,300 to $194,700 per year.
