Description
The Telemetry Monitor Technician monitors patients’ cardiac rhythms, documents and reports telemetry data and arrhythmias, communicates changes to nursing staff and physicians, troubleshoots monitoring equipment, and supports patient care and unit performance activities. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong communication and critical-thinking skills, and completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Course or Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation class within 45 days of hire or transfer; BLS, recent cardiac or EKG experience, and basic computer skills are preferred. The incumbent may rotate shifts, work standby or on-call schedules, travel locally between system locations, and work overtime.
