Description
The Telemetry Monitor Technician provides indirect patient care by collecting, documenting, and reporting telemetry data, interpreting rhythm strips, communicating arrhythmias, assisting registered nurses with monitor problems, and supporting cardiac monitoring equipment and patient safety. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong communication and organizational skills, and completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Course or Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation class within 45 days of hire or transfer; BLS, recent cardiac or telemetry experience, and basic computer skills are preferred. The incumbent may rotate shifts, work standby or on-call schedules, travel locally between system locations, and perform overtime.
